Juniper

Using our imaginations

This week Junipers have been using lots of imagination. They have used their creative thoughts and imagination to create their own stories using the story stones, thinking and creating different ways of representing and making 6 and thinking of their own games using the equipment outside.

In maths we have been learning all about number 6. We have been focussing on different ways we can represent 6, make 6 and understand the value of 6.

In english we have been using our colourful semantics knowledge to learn more about ‘green’ words, also known as adjectives. The children have been able to identify, use and understand adjectives all week through our story Juniper Jupiter and other books in class. They have been trying so hard to use adjectives all week through communication, finding objects and recognising these words in other stories.

We have had lots of fun outside this week using our equipment. Junipers thought of a fantastic game where they had to shout their friends name and pass the ball to that person. They have been learning how to share and wait for their turn. They have been playing so lovely together.

Junipers also invented their own game of rolling down a small hill on the grass. They had lots of fun with this game, there was a lot of giggles and laughter as they rolled down the hill with their friends and ran down the hill holding hands.

Have a lovely weekend Junipers.
