What an exciting week it’s been! Not only has it been art week but the children had a special visit from Njal Thorfinsson the Viking man. On Monday the children entered the classroom to discover a Viking snoring in a tent. They were very excited! They had the amazing oportunity not only to hear of the amazing things Vikings have done, but handle artefacts, jewellery and armour. They also, saw how fire and clothes were made as well as re-enact a battle scene in a longship.
Also, this week we had a wonderful visit from a touring opera to teach us about climate change and polution through song! The children enjoyed singing along, too. They also had a dragon drawing workshop and an Irish dancing workshop. It was a memorable week for KS2!
