Hawthorn Class have enjoyed practising some watercolour painting techniques this week in art. Next week they will be applying these new skills to paint their own landscape pictures of Cheshire and The Alps.
In English, they have started to write their own cliff-hanger narrative based on the character from our vehicle text – The Errand Boy. The children are trying to create a sense of tension, using short sentences and carefully selected vocabulary to engage the reader.
In Maths, the children have begun a unit of work on geometry. We made an ‘angle monster’ to help us identify whether an angle was: acute, obtuse, a right angle or reflex.
