We are archaeologists!

Willow Class have come back in with enthusiasm this week! We began our new exciting history topic of Romans and they were ‘hooked’ in to our unit by pretending to be archaeologists dissecting a coprolite! They learnt that this was a primary source for finding our about diets in the past as they discovered the Romans ate melon, olives and dates. They also found stones from the quern stone!

In Science Willow Class have been continuing their investigations into magnets and tested which coins were magnetic and why. They learnt that some metals are magnetic and some aren’t!

In English we have got stuck in to out new narrative unit – exploring the character of Fox through hot seating and drama activities. They have also enjoyed writing using effective similes through poetry.
