We are geographers!

Wow what a fantastic week in Sycamore class. We have had a week full of fun and the children have produced some fantastic work!

In English this week we have been looking deeper into the model text through identifying the writer’s hints and we have also been exploring illustrations to produce phrase banks ready for our independent writing task. The children are very eager to share their own versions of the story “Leaf”.

In maths this week we have been focusing on rounding numbers to the nearest 10,100 and 1000. The children have used their understanding in real life situations such as rounding money to purchase items.

In topic this week Sycamore class have been continuing with our Geography topic all about Rainforests. We have been learning all about the different layers of the rainforest and have been able to discuss their main features. We consolidated our learning through a game outside of the classroom where the children were given clues and had to act out the layer of the rainforest.

Well done Sycamore class!
