Sycamore class have partaken in computing week this week. We have been looking at algorithms and using software that creates virtual worlds. The children planned their cities using squared paper to gain a birds eye view of their city. We discussed the different features of a city and the building that are usually found here. The children worked in small groups. At the end of our session the children presented their cities to the rest of the class.

Sycamore class have also been focusing on non-fiction report writing this week. They really enjoyed the ‘slow writing’ activity that we did to produce a detailed paragraph based on an image. We have also focused on the grammar and punctuation side this week as we looked at possessive apostrophes. The children were really engaged in the task and demonstrated their understanding in their independent work.

Well done Sycamore!
