A week full of team work
In English we have been looking at ‘The Little Red Riding Hood’ and have learnt and preformed the text. Next week, we will be innovating the text and I am exited to read the children’s adapted versions.
For the last few weeks, in math’s, we have been looking at place value. This week, maple class got into teams and took part in a competition. Each team had place value challenge cards and competed to see who could answer the most correctly. It was wonderful to see some terrific teamwork in action.
In topic, we looked at symmetry by making mono prints of butterflies.
We also investigated how dinosaurs became extinct. After realising there are different theories about the dinosaur extinction, the children decided which theory they thought was true and had a debate. Again, maple class had to work as a team to produce a good argument.
