Winsford Education Partnership Wellbeing Film – Northwest Tonight
Dear Parents, Carers, Young People and Governors,
We are delighted to be writing to you all on behalf of all the schools in the Winsford Education Partnership.
Over the last year, two children from each of the 13 Winsford schools have worked incredibly hard together on a very special project raising the profile of Mental Health and well-being.
The end result of last year’s work was a very powerful film written and produced by the 26 young people. Today a reporter from BBC Northwest has spent time with some of the children and some staff to find out more about the project. Filming has taken place today over a couple of hours and we are very much looking forward to the final edit.
The report is due to be aired on BBC at 6.30pm one evening next week (week beginning 17th February 2020).
Following last year’s work every Winsford school now has two ‘Well-being Workers’. This year the Pupil Forum are planning a well-being conference for our remarkable, passionate and driven young people.
As Headteachers we are all incredibly proud of the outcome of this project, clearly demonstrating the power of working stronger together.
We hope you are able to watch the news report and please share on social media using the hashtags #WinsfordEducationPartnership #WellBeingWorkers #MentalHealth
On behalf of all schools,
Mrs Sarah Tomlinson Ms Fiona Whittaker
