What a lovely week, Willow class have had!
This week we have got stuck in to the Stone Age and learnt lots about what types of houses they lived in in the different periods of Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic. We then looked specifically as Mesolithic teepee like houses and attempted to make models outside with moss, sticks and earth!
In Maths we have began our unit on addition and started slowly with basic adding of one digit numbers before moving on to adding ones to a three digit number. The children are getting to grips with this but we needed lots of practise on reading and writing three digit numbers – anything you can do at home to practise writing and reading hundreds numbers will be very helpful to their progress – for example what number is 234 and how would we write it in words?
Well done Laken for achieving Learner of the Week this week!
