Young historians!

Our first full week back and what a fantastic week it has been. In English we began to look at what makes a good diary entry before looking at the story of Rose Blanche. Getting to grips with the story has been very emotive, as we all feel for the young Jewish children who were taken in Rose’s hometown, unbeknown to most of the town folk.

In Maths we focused on gaining the understanding of place value before moving on to rounding which I know even many adults find difficult. we absolutely smashed rounding and I am so proud of every single one of you.

This week we began to form timelines of the Ancient Egyptian Civilisation and tried to gain an understanding of where in the world this was happening. We also started planning our forest school sessions for this half term!
