Zooming to success!
Wow! I just wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate sycamore’s success with our life zooming. They have engaged every day with enthusiasm, energy and excitement. The children have been partaking in lots of activities and tasks incorporating lots of skills.
This week we have celebrated book week and world maths day. The children were filled with enthusiasm and excitement as we did a real life guess who for our book characters. The children shared clues for the characters and summarised key themes in their stories. Sycamore class also joined in a live webinar with the author Struan Murray. Struan talked through his journey to become an author which originated from his early years in creating a drawing for pingu magazine. The children were very enthused and excited by this experience.
In maths this week we have been recapping key methods with subtraction to secure key knowledge. We will continuing to recap other areas of our mathematical knowledge to consolidate our learning.
In Art, the children have been looking at the artist Georges Suarat who created the painting technique of Pointillism. The children at home and in school trialled this method and explored how the colours blended together.
Well done for your fantastic work through our zoom lessons year 4. We cannot wait to welcome you all back into school on Monday.
